Rainbows for Days at Melia Braco Village, Jamaica

Jamaica holds a special place in my heart since my husband proposed to me there, so we were totally psyched when we found out I won a trip for 2 to Jamaica by participating in an Instagram contest!  Warm golden sands, lush green gardens, and the aqua blue ocean welcomed us as we arrived to the all-inclusive resort Melia Braco Village.

Located in the Rio Bueno District just 45 minutes from Montego Bay Airport, Melia Braco Village is a beautifully polished and intimate all-inclusive resort with private beaches & dining, outdoor pools, and spa. We stayed in a chic premier ocean front room with a lanai. My favorite feature about this room is how we could walk right onto the beach to a canopy bed just a few steps from our lanai. Every day our room was restocked with delicious juices, soft drinks, Red Stripe beer, and banana chips! Soaking up the sun was an every day routine on this wonderful vacation.

The coolest thing about all-inclusive resorts is the leisure to eat whenever you want and as much as you want for no additional cost. Melia Braco Village has 5 delicious restaurants, each offering something unique to the table. Our go-to favorite was the Jerk Chicken Station at O’grille for lunch and afterwards having dessert and drinks by the beach! We also enjoyed Teppanyaki at their Asian fusion restaurant, Nikkei, and the beautiful outdoor seating at their steakhouse, 876 Prime.

If you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, then you’ll love the island of Jamaica. Jamaica is currently experiencing a rainy season, so we got caught in the rain a few times, but never for too long. The aftermath of the rain left us with gorgeous rainbows almost every day!

As always, cats seem to find me wherever I travel so I snapped some photos of these Jamaican cuties. 🙂

Melia has done a wonderful job with Braco Village and I recommend anyone looking for a nice, relaxing all-inclusive resort in the tropics to check them out!
