Hotel Wailea: Hawaiian Paradise at its Finest

Hotel Wailea was recently voted “#1 Hotel in Hawaii” by the Condé Nast Traveller Reader’s choice Awards and it surely deserves the title. This gem of a hotel is Relais & Chateaux’s only Hawaiian property located on the beautiful island of Maui. Tucked away on 15 tranquil acres overlooking the ocean and boasting 72 luxury suites, Hotel Wailea is the epitome of a luxurious romantic escape. I almost can’t put into words how amazing this property is, but I’m going to give it a try.

We were greeted with a warm Aloha along with celebratory champagne upon arrival (my kind of welcome- am I right?) and then delivered by a golf cart to our chic one bedroom suite with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean.

The suite itself took my breath away, with its tastefully stained hardwoods and large floor to ceiling windows revealing the gorgeous lanai ahead. The color scheme was relaxing, the King size bed was as cozy as a cloud, and the turndown service was impeccable each and every day. The bathroom consisted of a large deep soaking bath tub as well as a walk in shower complete with Molton Brown amenities – which if you haven’t tried are amazing! The suites also have free Wifi and two flat screen TVs, but who really has time for TV when you’re visiting Hawaii?

The hotel staff are there to assist you with whatever you’d like to accomplish each day whether it be a beach picnic, yoga classes, kiteboarding lessons, a relaxing couples massage, or sunset sailing. You name it, and they will make it happen! They even offer complimentary chauffeuring if you’re looking to go shopping or out to eat. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you’re relaxed and happy.

Some of our favorite moments were spent sipping champagne and lounging by their gorgeous outdoor pool. They offer poolside service with a full menu of delicious snacks made from the freshest organic ingredients. Paradise at its finest.

But wait- it gets better. The sunsets from our lanai were the dreamiest we have ever seen. We enjoyed peaceful walks around the property, and birdwatching. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and romantic place to stay.

If you’re looking to plan a trip to Maui, seriously consider Hotel Wailea. I can’t wait to visit again one day! For the perfect day trip while visiting Maui click here. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @travel.with.samantha for a visual journey of my travels!
